My journey, marked by resilience in the face of adversity, has shaped my approach to counselling and my commitment to supporting you.
From Trauma to Transformation
My path has been far from easy. As an abortion survivor who lost my twin in utero and was born without my right arm, I faced significant challenges from the very beginning. At the age of four, I survived a house fire that should have claimed my life. When I was nine, I tragically lost my three-year-old brother in another house fire. I have also navigated the complexities of suicides within my family and growing up with two family members living with schizophrenia. The pain of losing five children in my family due to parental neglect is also something I have had to process.
Finding My Purpose
Experiencing discrimination in the workplace due to my physical disability further fueled my passion to create change. These experiences, combined with my education, have driven me to help others navigate their own traumas. Beginning in childhood and continuing through the age of fifteen, I sought counselling, which taught me the power of moving forward after experiencing horrific events. Now, I want to help you do the same.
A Passion for Healing
I am deeply passionate about understanding and validating the feelings of others. I strive to uplift my clients, helping them overcome feelings of demotivation and empowering them to manage their daily lives. I am committed to improving their motivation and helping them move forward, even in the face of challenging circumstances. I specialise in psychodynamic therapy to unearth old memories and address childhood traumas that may be impacting your current life, helping you to heal in a constructive direction.
